Yes,, I’m sure it would be an awkward feeling (if you’re not laughing at the title,, you’re too stressed by the way).

Relax the hoity toityness (holy crap the spell check didn’t react to that at all).

Just get off your ass and do the 1 big thing first.  That means don’t worry so much about some of those other balls and get the main thing done.

So what is it? What’s the main thing?!

The (insert wonderful adjective here) Gary Veynerchuk has brought yet another awesome inspirational video.  This is one of those things that makes me want to kick butt.

For more inspirational goodness, check out Stefan Bucher’s work too! He’s awesome (and it’s all him). His follow your heart video is great (I’d ignore his stance on goregous women,, but that’s just me (I married one)).

Another inspiring thing is to find others to inspire, and return that inspiration right back at you.

  1. Install the plugin to your wordpress installation
  2. (you know, go to your wordpress ftp site,
  3. upload it to the wordpress plugin folder,
  4. (make sure it uploads then log out of your ftp),
  5. then log in to your wordpress site,
  6. find the wordpress plugins,
  7. find the wordpress automatic upgrad plugin,
  8. activate it,
  9. finally, follow the prompts.

It’s actually easy (rather than fear inducing,,  stupid stupid me.

Be on the lookout for more fun new products coming. In the mean time, we do have for purchase the bumper sticker holders (check em out here). We’re also awaiting approval for college licensing, we’re starting with just a few schools, and hopefully branching out big time!

We’re also talking to some up and coming car manufacturers among other companies. Remember, bumper sticker holders are great for putting up a bumper sticker,, and then being able to take it down after an election, without automotive surgery!

Yep,, I’ve been stupid,, there are ways to do this stuff (upgrade wordpress) easily. Stupid, silly me.

Upgrade wordpress with the wordpress automatic upgrade plugin!

It’s pretty darn easy (I sure wish I’d found this,, oh about 2 MONTHS AGO!)

Follow their directions, they’re really straightforward,, but just in case, here they are (I recommend using the automated style, since,, well, its automated, and I’m a nincompoop!)

Here they are!

WordPress automatic upgrade upgrades your wordpress installation by doing the following steps.

  1. Backs up the files and makes available a link to download it.
  2. Backs up the database and makes available a link to download it.
  3. Downloads the latest files from http://wordpress.org/latest.zip and unzips it.
  4. Puts the site in maintenance mode.
  5. De-activates all active plugins and remembers it.
  6. Upgrades wordpress files.
  7. Gives you a link that will open in a new window to upgrade installation.
  8. Re-activates the plugins.

The plugin can also can be run in a automated mode where in you do not have to click on any links to go to the next step.

so far, I’ve only managed to:

Delete my entire blog at www.ds4design.com

fail at upgrade a total of 5 times

Gotten VERY frustrated with the crew at Go daddy who have managed to: attempt to help me with my install, then fail, the next call,, another customer service guy inform me that they’re not allowed to help me, and the assistance provided was unsanctioned.

I’m really considering leaving GoDaddy and going somewhere more wordpress friendly (one of their reccomended providers).

It is bizarre, GoDaddy hosts, and does a 1 button install of wordpress (2.3.1) but they offer zero assistance when it comes to wordpress 2.3.2 yet there are known issues with 2.3.1 and it isn’t good to have that anymore (it can be hacked).

Any hints here would be awesome. Till then,, its back to wordpress.com (should I tell feedburner?! I guess so!)

How about that, Patriots and Giants! Who’da thunk it!
